THE RED BANNER - THE FALLEN COMPANY
Every player that joins the World of Ohr is a part of the Red Banner. This organization is where you will come in contact with most of your bounties, missions, and campaign objectives.

The Red Banner was established during the Black Age in the year AF 1653, it’s a company who is recognized for two profoundly different things at different times. Originally the Red Banner was one of the first mercenary companies to form as the Andminas and Assai empires declared war on one another, seeking to see profits and wartime shares they guaranteed their devotions to both factions during the war and had a notoriety for being treacherous and volatile. As their fame spread so too did their numbers, the Commander Adonias eventually fielded one of the greatest companies during the war between the two nations. The Red Banner was a murderous company, feared by allies and foes alike and answerable for endless war crimes. The Red Banner attracted recruits from all walks of life, outcasts, fugitives, and indeed zealous preachers of the war god. During one of the decisive battles of the war near the outskirts of Daggermark, Adonias turned his mind towards the burgeoning Mercenary Republic and sought to siege the city and to assassinate the officers of the developing republic wishing to form his own conception for a different empire. Despite having vast numbers his forces were broken by the combined ability and highly disciplined fighters of the Thanasi regulars, Trollkin and Orkon clans and Iron Circle Legionnaires. Adonias’ death marked the first execution of a modern, law-abiding republic.
As the years have passed, the Red Banner has had a tonal shift within the organization. Now in the Age of the Crown the looming threat of the undead and the world's darkening days has shifted the Red Banner into a semi-autonomous association of adventurers, scholars, mercenaries and others with an active interest in exploring the unknown corners of Ohrros. It should be noted that the Red Banner is still a mistrusted organization, shady nobles, thieves, and everyday scoundrels are often the ones who seek them out to do a job. Though the company is trying to shift that perception, the Golm often flows freely and in large sums from these types of tasks. Change is hard when everyone needs to be paid.

ALDERFALL - THE HOME OF THE RED BANNER

Alderfall acts as the primary base of operations for the Red Banner and its members. With enough bunks to comfortably accommodate three-hundred members, it's an ideal HQ for the Red Banner as the fort is centralized on the shores of the Morte. They can quickly move from one location to the next using using the waterways and their ship dubbed 'The Bastard'.
ALDERFALL ACCOMODATIONS:
ALDERFALL ACCOMODATIONS:
- The Dust Hall - Karmin of the Dungeon Rats is posted here, he's the man to talk to when you're looking for maps or information on local dungeons or areas that you intend on exploring. Though he's held up in Alderfall he's not technically a member of the Red Banner. He's useful enough so they allow him to stick around. Just keep in mind that none of his services are cheap and they're not always guaranteed to provide you with accurate information.
- The Carrion House - The Carrion House is a dimly lit tavern, stocked with drinks from every corner of Ohrros and restocked constantly as supplies come by sea. A bugbear chef, simply called 'Bella' prepares meals for the members there, taking pride in her work and offering exotic meals every once in a while. The Carrion House is equipped to handle a large variety of members, of every shape and size, and in addition to the various booths that line the walls boasts three, long dinner tables where members dine in the mornings and afternoons. Breakfast is free, but dinner costs a moderate fee to keep the quality of food high. A burnt sign hangs by the far-side wall of the bar, it reads 'no magic' with a crudely drawn depiction of what one could only assume to be a mage having his head cut off.
- The Study - A community "library" rests at the heart of Alderfall in an old church, with broken chairs, filthy cushions, and books too old to be accurate for those who seek out a quiet spot, with the soft thrum of the rats and other vermin that call the floorboards home keeping you company. There are several desks here that you may occupy, a few of them have ink quills and pens for writing and there's paper strewn about on the floors and on some of the desks.
- The Commons - The commons are a series of cheaply constructed and cramped buildings at the center of Alderfall. Gaming tables, made of birch wood, and aging crimson rugs litter the floor. Here, you may rest and relax while conversing with your fellow adventurers and discussing plans. In the center of the room is a fairly large table, matching the dark birch of the gaming tables. However, this table is special. The entirety of the map of Ohrros is carved into the table, with a circular slot carved in that holds a hefty roll of parchment. Usually, this is pulled out and rolled across the table, where notes and plans are drawn up.
- Hagley's Holdouts - Near the dock tower of Alderfall a physician's office sits equipped with on-site personnel if a situation were to turn dire. There are several cots, separated by dark sheets. Some of these cots look filthy and blood stains are a common sight. Hagley himself is an unkempt mess and is often drunk while working with his patients. He's a skillful healer... When he's sober.
- The Proving Grounds - This is the area that members may spar in, complete with training dummies and all manner of weapons. The center of the proving grounds dips down, surrounded by a border of steps in which spectators may be seated. Various barrels and obstacles have been pushed out of the way from the last spar, but may be replaced if the combatants wish to add more terrain to their fights. The walls are lined with duplicates of some of the more common weapons, and singles of exotic weapons that must be returned after use. Each weapon has been forged by the Master Smith Thuron, who has been with the Red Banner for the past twenty years or so.
