WHO ARE WE?
The Ohr Gaming Network first started out as a small group of friends that found each other through various games on Roll20 and through the flavor of the month MMOs. For a time, this group of friends would hop in a Skype call together and spend several hours role-playing and adventuring until we inevitably passed out when light was peeking through the blinds in the early hours of the morning. These long sessions spent together are some of the happiest memories the founders of OGN have of tabletop role-playing games, and our goal is to replicate that experience and to nurture a community of like-minded individuals who wish to create memories and make long-lasting friendships.
OUR MISSION:
The Ohr Gaming Network’s immediate purpose is to serve as a home for tabletop gamers that value companionship and enjoy engagement in meaningful stories and plot lines.
We are continuously revising and seeking feedback from our community members, so we can develop our worlds and strike a familiar balance with the core rules and Ohr home brew. Ultimately, we are moving towards an altogether community designed setting, complete with Ohr gaming modules and adventures that our players can draw upon to establish their own memories and unforgettable bonds.
The Ohr Gaming Network is currently focused on the Ohr Living Campaign Project and making custom resources available to community members on our Discord server. We are working on detailing and fleshing out the Ohr lore in ways that look to further bring elements of realism and immerse our player characters in the ever-changing world. Some of these changes include: Ohr-specific deities, calendars/times/seasons, currencies, factions, and cosmology. Once these elements are in place, we will look into developing modules for all of our tabletop games, map creation, and providing art assets and other resources for our dedicated Guild Masters.

OUR PROJECTS:
The World of Ohr is a “living campaign setting” designed to encourage our community to come together to create entertaining stories and to build onto the foundation of the world already set in place by its creators. Our world is constantly updating and changing, and for those that look to worldbuild or to help us flesh out Ohr we are more than happy to offer in-game bonuses and little rewards for their time and hard work.
Community members that would like to buy us a cup of coffee to keep us up late at night working are more than welcome to do so by supporting us on Patreon! We have several reward tiers offering in-game goodies as well as Discord ranks, character stories, custom archetype reflavors, and custom token borders to offer our thanks. The money that we receive from Patreon goes directly back into the community in the form of hiring artists to create custom artwork for Ohr, custom character tokens, world building streams and much much more. One of our current big stretch goals is working towards creating modules for the community! Ohr is unique in the sense that we motivate our community members to create an extensive backstory so that we can get a sense of their character’s personality and history. By doing this, we hope to cultivate a community of players that care about one another and wish to fully immerse themselves in our world. We do ask that folks that join our server are 16+ and have access to a working microphone and speakers as most of our games will take place over Discord voice chat and Roll20. The PC gaming branch of OLC is moreso dedicated to expanding upon the current relationships amongst characters in the cannon world of Ohr-but in video games. Later this year we will be diving headfirst into the game of Hytale to try it out and see if it can be an asset to storytelling in the community! |
Star Lost is a world set in the far future, where mankind has spread to the stars via a combination of its own ingenuity and piggybacking upon alien technology -- both that which has been traded for and that which has been discovered and is still being understood. With a game world containing a myriad of systems with an endless variety of planets, there's no one single thing that sessions and campaigns tend to involve, but in general you can expect to be exploring things from ancient ruins to planet-wide sprawls, struggling against the ever-present stifling grip of corporations that span across multiple systems or working in the shadows for them, working with sentient alien life or fleeing from hybridized experiments made with it, and even conducting trade missions or being involved with the Galactic Defense Force.
You will need a team with a diverse skill set in order to survive -- being able to fire a gun is well and good, but you need more than just broad shoulders and a big gun. Your team needs technicians to investigate ancient, forgotten technology; it needs engineers to rig lifts or reprogram robots in subterranean complexes you're breaking into; it needs pilots to hijack that ship off the moon you're being pursued across; it needs infiltration agents to contort through ducts and slip locks; it needs slick, suited fast-talkers to broker deals with the powerful and insinuate their way into secure locations; it needs medics to patch up claw-rent limbs and laser burns; it needs biologists to diagnose the strange illness your away team comes back with upon exploring a new planet... and much, much more. Combat will be a part of what you do, but it will be far from all you do, and remember that just because you can fight something, doesn't mean there's even a chance that you might win -- discretion is the better part of valor, because if there's one universal truth about the future, it's this: life is cheap. |
